Every business is unique and it’s difficult to predict how much compensation you may become liable to pay in the case of an incident.
Cover of $5 million may be sufficient for a small business with low-risk exposure. However, a higher limit may be required depending on the conditions of a contract you may be entering into.
If you’re unsure how much cover you may need, it may be useful to search the conditions of your business or trade license, landlord, council, worksite, or primary contractor to ensure you have the appropriate cover.
Depending on your circumstances, you may wish to consider setting a higher limit of cover for when something goes wrong. This is something a professional licenced insurance broker could provide advice on.
AFA offers flexible limits of $5M, $10M or $20M or $30M on referral to choose from.
